Jamison Door Company has promoted Dwight Clark to be President and Chief Operating Office effective January 1, 2018. John T. Williams will retain the title of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Clark joined the company in 2001 as Vice President Sales and Marketing and has led the sales effort since that time, developing a sales organization capable of selling the growing number of products the company manufactures. He has been a key player in helping guide the introduction of new products and territories. Active also in industry activities, Mr. Clark has been on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Cold Storage Construction since 2002.
He is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and was a manufacturer’s representative in Southern California for 15 years prior to joining Jamison. He and his wife, Jeanette, have one adult daughter.
Mr. Williams said “Dwight’s promotion is recognition of the significant contributions he has made to Jamison over the past 16 years. He deserves much of the credit for the current success and growth of the company.”
Mr. Clark said “Jamison has had excellent growth in these last 16 years by expanding the number of product lines we offer and by having a great team of people in all parts of the business. I am excited to have the new responsibilities and the opportunity to help lead as we go forward. Jamison Door Company, a privately-held manufacturer of doors primarily for the cold storage industry was founded in 1906 at its current location in Hagerstown, MD by J. V. Jamison, Sr. It has been in the same location in Hagerstown, MD, for all of its existence. J. V. Jamison, Sr., was president until his death in 1920 and was succeeded by his son, J. V. Jamison, Jr. who served until 1942 when his son, J. V. Jamison, 3rd, succeeded him, serving as President and Chairman until 1993. His daughter, Wye Jamison Allanbrook, succeeded him as Chairman from 1993 until 2000 when John T. Williams was named Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Since 2004 Jamison has added significantly to its product offerings including additional offerings under its main product line of insulated doors designed for use in cold storage facilities and the acquisition of HCR, Inc., a manufacturer of air doors based in Lewistown, MT. In 2005 Jamison expanded internationally and opened a manufacturing plant in Mexico City to make doors for the Mexican market. In 2012 it opened a new plant in Hagerstown and partnered with an Italian company to make high speed rollup doors under the Jamison/BMP name. In 2015 Jamison opened another plant in Hagerstown to make Jamotuf doors, a line of 1 ¾ “ insulated molded fiberglass doors.
